EN – This work depicts a fictional flag designed for a nation supposedly rebuilt on the bodies and histories of those who endured destruction. At its center, the red‑and‑white target does not symbolize national identity but human lives struck simply for existing — vulnerable, exposed, sacrificed.
The vertical yellow and white bands evoke a reconstruction presented as rational and necessary, yet their mechanical regularity reveals an ideological staging meant to conceal foundational violence. Throughout the work, the lines of the original drawing remain visible: persistent traces that cannot be erased, bearing witness to the ruins of a millennia‑old history on which one seeks to rebuild.
Above, the black‑and‑white chessboard becomes the work’s most implacable symbol. It embodies a field where strategy overrides dignity, where human lives are moved like pieces, sacrificed according to a cold logic that confuses calculation with power. Each square is a zone of decision; each move, an act of domination.
Below, the stylized rocket is no sign of progress: it represents the structural threat that conditions reconstruction.
The work exposes how authoritarian regimes integrate death and suffering into their architecture. A Machiavellian tragedy in which the end justifies the means. Through its rigorous visual language, the work engages with Constructivism, Suprematism and Political Pop Art, revealing the perversion of their codes when used to serve a power that transforms order into domination.
LU – Dëst Wierk weist e fiktive Fändel fir eng Natioun, déi ee behaapt nei opzebauen op de Kierper an op der Geschicht vun deenen, déi d’Zerstéierung erlieft hunn. Am Zentrum steet d’rout‑wäiss Zilscheif, déi keng national Identitéit duerstellt, mee mënschlecht Liewen, dat getraff gouf, well et do war — verwonbar, ausgesat, geopfert.
Déi giel a wäiss vertikal Sträife suggeréieren en Neesopbau, deen als rational a noutwenneg presentéiert gëtt, mee hir mechanesch Reegelméissegkeet verréit eng ideologesch Inszenéierung, déi d’ursprénglech Gewalt verdecke soll. Duerch d’Wierk zéien sech d’Linne vun der ursprénglecher Zeechnung: persistent Spueren, déi net kënnen ausgeläscht ginn, a vun de Ruine vun enger Joerdausend aler Geschicht erzielen, op där ee wëllt nei opbauen.
Uewen dréit d’schwaarz‑wäisst Schachbriet dat onerbiddlechst Symbol vum Wierk. Et weist e Feld, wou Strategie virun der Mënschlechkeet steet, wou Liewen wéi Figuren verréckelt a geaffert ginn — no enger kaler Logik, déi Berechnung mat Muecht verwieselt. All Feld ass eng Decisiounszon; all Beweegung en Akt vun Dominanz.
Ënnen ass d’stiliséiert Rakéit kee Symbol vum Fortschrëtt: si steet fir déi strukturell Bedreeung, déi de Neesopbau bedéngt.
D’Wierk weist, wéi autoritär Regimer Doud a Leed an hir Architektur integréieren. Eng machiavellistesch Tragédie, an där d’Enn d’Mëttel rechtfäerdegt.
Mat sengem präzise visuellen Ausdrock setzt d’Wierk sech a Bezuch zum Konstruktivismus, Suprematismus an zum politesche Pop Art, a weist d’Pervertéierung vun hire Coden, wann dës am Déngscht vun enger Muecht stinn, déi Uerdnung an Dominanz verwandelt.
