EN – The work depicts an ethnic divinity holding a head‑cutter, a ritual figure radiating both power and enigma. In the torso, a box reveals a severed head already placed inside, evoking sacrifice, domination and ancestral memory. The collage was created from two pre‑existing acrylic paintings, which the artist cut apart and recomposed to form a new visual entity. This piece is the first of three collages produced as part of this reconstruction exercise. Geometric shapes — circles, rectangles, half‑moons — assemble into a vertical structure reminiscent of a totemic statue. The bold colours reinforce the ritual and symbolic dimension of the figure. The artist draws on Constructivist principles, emphasising structure and balance, while introducing a layer of symbolic abstraction, where each fragment becomes a sign, a myth, and a reconstructed identity.
LU – D’Aarbecht weist eng ethnesch Gottheet mat engem Kappmesser, eng rituell Figur déi Kraaft a Geheimnis ausstraalt. Am Torso erkennt een eng Këscht, an där schonn e Kapp läit, wat op Affer, Dominanz an eng al Traditioun vu Gediechtnes hiweist. De Collage gouf aus zwou virdrun entstanenen Acrylmolereien zesummegesat, déi den Artist ausgeschnidden an nei komponéiert huet. Et ass déi éischt vun dräi Kompositiounen, déi aus dësem Rekonstruktiouns‑Exercice ervirgaange sinn. Geometresch Formen — Kreeser, Rechtecker, Hallefmounden — füügen sech zu enger vertikaler Struktur, déi un eng totemesch Skulptur erënnert. Déi staark Faarwen ënnersträichen déi rituell a symbolesch Dimensioun vun der Figur.
